Breaking The Rules
23 July 2006 - 13:21 .
So I was at the club last night to help celebrate Sue's birthday, and it was an absolute hoot. Among other things, I sat around with some friends of Sue's wtaching Godzilla versus someone-or-another and someone-else. It was classic, like watching Mystery Science Theatre 3000... we couldn't hear it too well, so we were making up our own lines, and ripping the flick to shreds. But probably the most fun was going out in a double with Sue for a brief row around Coal Harbour. We must have broken about 4 or 5 club regulations, and who knows how many maritime rule violations we perpetrated. Let's see... alcohol? Check. No lights? Check. Dark colours? (Sue) Check. Darkness? Check. I'm sure there are other rules that were bent. But it was cool. Especially since Sue was wearing a dress. Good thing she rows like a lady, and keeps her knees together.
Now? I think it's time to re-hydrate. I've been tipsy at the club the past two night running, and I need some water. Not because of the heat (I'm fine with the heat), but because in the past two nights I've probably gone through some 20 pints or so........
