Weekend Wrap Up Part I
02 April 2007 - 08:51 .
Well, wasn't that a busy weekend...
On Friday, Matt, Matt's Dad, Tanya and myself went to watch the Giant's eliminate the Chilliwack Bruins from the WHL playoffs. And as much as I might be glad that an expansion team made it to the playoffs in their inaugural year, I'm even happier that the G-men took them out in 5 games. We're looking at getting tickets for the next round, and this time I'm thinking about collecting a group of people. As of right now the dates are not confirmed, but the opponent is... the Seattle Thunderbirds. If you'd like to come watch an inexpensive plyoff hockey game, then email me or leave a comment.
After the game it was off to a pub with Tanya a few of her friends. Of course, whenever there's a pub, you know that all bets of sanity are off, as they relate to me. Friday was no exception, and there was much inebriation. But in the final accounting Friday was really good, and that's the important part. The photographic evidence of debauchery, which I'm working on acquiring, is just the icing on the cake........

The schedule is on http://www.vancouvergiants.com and it follows the same format as round one (fri/sat home, tue/wed away, fri home, etc):Game 1 Fri. Apr. 6 (7:30pm) Round 2-Home Game #1
Game 2 Sat. Apr. 7 (7:00pm) Round 2-Home Game #2
Game 3 @ Seattle Tues. Apr. 10 (7:00pm)
Game 4 @ Seattle Wed. Apr. 11 (7:00pm)
* Game 5 Fri. Apr. 13 (7:30pm) Round 2-Home Game #3
* Game 6 @ Seattle Sat. Apr. 14 (7:00pm)
* Game 7 Tue. Apr. 17 (7:00pm) Rd. 2-Home Game #4
* IF NECESSARY
Unfortunately I'm probably out for the first two games: Friday I'm off to Auburn, WA to get some car parts (getting a killer deal on an entire rear suspension - shut up, Jer), then Saturday we're having a bunch of shiny new appliances delivered. Don't expect either venture will run very late, but I can't guarantee being able to get there for game time, and I'll no doubt be bagged by then, so I'll hafta take a pass. If it goes to game 5 or 7, however...
