Disclaimers

So I'm watching Fantastic Four last night on Global TV, and after every commercial they come up with a disclaimer that says "This program may contain scenes of violence" and the voice over guy stresses the word 'may'.

Excuse me?

What do you mean 'may'? Are you not sure? And you simply reporting second hand commentary? Is there a grey area as to the violent nature of a super-hero flick? Gimme a break, people. Of course it's violent! There's only two real resons to watch that movie anyways - Jessica Alba, and the fact that things in Vancouver get blown up (the film was shot here).

Pfft. 'May'.......

I just wish they would announce all the other things it 'may' have... "This program may contain scenes of violence, nudity, sexuality, coarse language, hot women, fast cars, bad guys with odd names, terrible puns, laundry, pork, velcro, FD & C Red #22, Sinead O'Connor, pornographic haiku, wood chips and a vague reference to the compleat works of Stephen King. Viewer discretion is advised."
