I'm back online. It's not perfect, but it works. I still need to do some work to acquire some products to complete the networking setup in my new home.To say that the holidays were stressful would be a gross understatement. I won't even go into except to say that the stress levels were terrific. Not good terrific. Bad terrific.
I will give one highlight though... on Christmas eve I was over visiting my grandfather (the main reason I moved to Tsawwassen), only to discover that much of his floor was wet with standing water. Turns out that the roof of his building had a couple feet of snow, and it was raining. So the water, having nowhere to go, was seeping into the building underneath the flashing of some exhaust or another. And coming down inside the walls. Seeping into his suite.
It's still not dealt with, although the restoration company is due by today.

That is awful about your grandfathers suite, I hope it gets sorted soon, there are so many considerations with respect to water such as mold, electrics and so much more. It is good you are close by to help him.Sorry to hear about your stressful holidays, I think there was something in the air this season as I was very glad to have the holidays over and done with. Christmas Eve was for me the big stressful event and yes not in a good way. I wonder if the eggnog was off or something. LOL
